Small Group Questions

These questions are designed to foster discussion in small groups at Cedar Valley Church and are related to the sermon on 4/27/25. Click here to watch it on Youtube.

Icebreakers: What’s your least favorite chore? When have you been a recipient of someone loving you well? (i.e. someone bought you a coffee, paid for your groceries, gave an unexpected gift, etc) 

• Small Group Questions:

  1. What is Love, as an average human being would define it?

  2. How have you defined Love since becoming a follower of Jesus?

  3. As you consider the word Agape’, how would you define it?

  4. How does knowing that “God is Love”, not that he chooses to love, instead knowing

  that He is Love impact the way you live?

  5. How should the fact that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have made their home

  in us impact how we Love every person we meet.

  6. What does it look like to Love/Agape people who, quite honestly, seem unlovable?

  7. How did people experience the Agape Love of Jesus in everyday life.

  8. What is the expectation for a Spirit filled follower of Jesus, who is literally filled with

  the Agape Love of God.
